Chris Arvanites - Wesleyan University - Chris played for me at North Hollywood and did a wonderful job in center for us. He was a guy who really worked hard in the classroom and his academics got him his chance to play college baseball.

Kyle Harper - Orange Coast College & Fresno State - Drafted by the Indians - Kyle played third for us at Northwood and had a great arm. He pitched a little but always complained about his elbow. Well, he went to Fresno State to pitch and had to have Tommy John done to his right elbow. Later he transfered to Coast and got himself back and was hitting 97 on the gun but blew out the same elbow again. He had another surgery done to his elbow and was still drafted by the indians.

Jon Devries - 3rd Round Draft Pick by the Red Sox - Jon and I worked together when I was still in college. Here was a guy who all the tools and as a high school kid could do things I couldn't as a college guy. Yet, here was another guy who had a million questions and was so coachable. The great ones like Jon and Stewart know what they want and are willing to ask questions to make themselves better.

Geoff Rothman - Irvine Valley College - Rothman is a kid who worked his tail off in high school and never took no for an answer. He didn't always start for us at Northwood but always kept working to make himself better.
|

Jorge Hernandez - Aurora University - Jorge is another kid who wanted it more than other kids. I was so happy for the guy that he made it happen for himself in the classroom because his grades got him his scholorship and his opportunity.

Tim Carrier attends UNC Greensboro and plays infield. He went to a junior college first because shortly before his senior year he blew out his knee playing football. What I remember most about Tim was how hard he worked and how many questions he had. He was a good athlete but he worked his way into division 1 baseball

Tommy Briner - Tommy played for me when I helped coach the U19 Redding Legion team. He is a great kid who worked hard to get his opportunity to play at the next level.
|

Aaron Westlake - Aaron went to Shasta High School and played for the U19 American Legion Team in Redding. He has great bat speed and great baseball instincts.
